I’m so excited to have another one of my cousins on the blog with an engagement session!! Kaitlin & Josh both work in the utility industry and met back in late 2011 on a job site in Norfolk. She thought he was cute, he thought she was pretty…and the rest is history. They have been together for four years now!
It was the evening of Valentine’s Day and they had just gotten home from their weekend road trip with the family to visit Kaitlin’s brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew in Chapel Hill, NC. They didn’t feel like cooking (who does after a weekend full of family and driving?) so they ordered the heart shaped pizza special from Papa John’s. Josh placed his grandmother’s ring inside the pizza box and brought it to Kaitlin. She was so surprised when she opened the box and saw the ring! Obviously she said YES!
We picked historic downtown Norfolk for their engagement pictures, which couldn’t have been more perfect! It was a little chilly but the sun was shining and the surroundings were some of my favorite backdrops to date. I love how Kaitlin pretty much packed her whole closet for outfit changes! And she even coordinated the colors of her outfits with their wedding colors: gray, champagne and coral. She also threw in their sports teams at the end for some fun rivalry pictures. Here are some of my favorites from Kaitlin & Josh’s engagement session.
It was time to bring out the rivalry…Steelers vs. Redskins! Kaitlin grew up in Waynesburg, PA so naturally she is a Pittsburgh fan. I loved the idea of bringing their team’s gear for a few pictures! #ahousedivided
Congratulations Kaitlin & Josh! I am so excited for y’all and can’t wait for the wedding!
Thank you for allowing me to capture these memories for you.
