I’ve known Cassie for years. I met her through riding of course, but once I moved Bree to a different barn in Chesapeake, I didn’t see her as much. It was definitely great to catch up with her during her shoot. You can always count on riding to introduce you to awesome people who end up becoming great friends. I love being a part of the local horse community in Hampton Roads.

Cassie & Blue were my 2nd equestrian session during my last week in Virginia, (see the first one here). Cassie had been wanting photos done for a while and when she heard I was moving, we finally scheduled a date. We had a nice warm, sunny day for her equestrian session in Virginia Beach, VA but it was super windy! I tried finding places around the barn that weren’t as windy as others, but we had some serious wind gusts and it didn’t matter where you were standing, you were getting windblown!

Cassie was such good sport dealing with the wind and Blue was such a good boy! I am so happy with the pictures we got. Even though we just did a mini session, we still got a great variety and even some black background portraits. Cassie had her makeup all done and looked so cute and Blue was all shined up and ready for his close up. Despite the strong winds we were able to get portraits that Cassie will cherish for a lifetime. I love creating photos for equestrians that showcase their special bond that goes beyond the saddle.

We definitely lucked out and had gorgeous light for their session even though we did have to deal with some wind gusts. Here are some of my favorites from their session.
