Lorie had an idea to surprise her husband for Christmas with a picture of her with her horse, Pumpkin, and Goldendoodle, Gretal. We had a date set and everything planned but when Lorie was getting ready to leave her house to head to the barn on the day of the session, her husband had his own plans which included taking Gretal somewhere with him. So…long story short, Lorie ended up having to tell her husband what was going on so she could take Gretal with her to the barn. It ended up working out though, because we were able to get a whole family picture!

As always, Pumpkin was such a gentleman and a sweetheart to be around and will do anything for cookies. Gretal, on the other hand, was more of a handful. In her eyes, the barn was too exciting of a place to be wasting time sitting still and looking cute for pictures, but we still ended up with some great shots of the whole family! I can’t wait to see these in print, especially the huge canvas that is going at the top of Lorie’s stairs!! Here are some of my favorites from their session.
